The "New Warriors" are moving out before they even settled in.

Marvel's upcoming half-hour comedy series was ordered straight to series by Freeform, but it will not air on the network in 2018 as planned, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Instead, the show will be shopped to other outlets.

The pilot, starring Milana Vayntrub as fan fave Squirrel Girl, reportedly tested very well — so well that it got the attention of high-level Disney executives. But Freeform could not find a slot for the show, despite expanding to four nights of original programming next year. So, Marvel asked Freeform to release the series back to them, and the network obliged.

THR reports that Marvel may not be allowed to sell to non-Disney outlets anymore (it has a previous deal with Netflix for "Daredevil," "Jessica Jones," "Luke Cage," "Iron Fist," "The Defenders," and "The Punisher").

However, Disney's own streaming service — which will house its hit TV shows and movies, including "Star Wars" and Marvel's superhero franchises — is not expected to debut until 2019, which means it likely isn't an option for "New Warriors." But Disney does own ABC, which also has "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

Freeform isn't completely Marvel-less, either; it will debut the drama "Cloak and Dagger" sometime in 2018.
