"Black Mirror" is full of mystery, and so is potential guest star Miley Cyrus.

The singer-slash-actress recently addressed the recent rumors that she has a guest spot in the fifth season of the Netflix sci-fi series, and she wasn't exactly straightforward in her answer. As guest on SiriusXM's "The Howard Stern Show" on Wednesday, Dec. 12, she both confirmed and denied that she confirmed her involvement, per THR.

Cryus's older sister, Brandi, mentioned the "Black Mirror" gig in a podcast episode Tuesday, as EW reports. She was talking about how they'd both traveled to South Africa and said that Cyrus was there for a role. When talking to Stern, the "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" singer did open up about the work that she did, but she was reluctant to outright confirm it because she wasn't sure if she was allowed to.

"If you guess it, then I will shake my head 'yes,' or 'no,'" Cyrus told Stern, per THR.

She did indeed nod her head yes, according to Stern, but Cyrus pointed out that she hadn't said the show's name. Still, she revealed that her character has "lot of different sides," which definitely sounds about right for "Black Mirror." She added that she left "feeling really proud" of her work, which she noted was unusual.

The actress, who gained fame as a preteen on the Disney Channel TV series "Hannah Montana" and has done a variety of films since, has been more focused on music than acting in recent years. Her most recent major acting role on a TV show was in the 2016 Amazon Studios miniseries "Crisis in Six Scenes." She has, however, been a judge on NBC's reality singing competition show "The Voice" in recent years.

Netflix declined to comment on Cyrus's guest role, but we expect to learn more about it in the coming months.
