The 'Modern Family' Cast Recreated a Photo From the Very Beginning
The beginning of the end of "Modern Family" is officially upon us, and it's bittersweet.
The show's cast got together for the first table read of the final season, and they took a group photo that brought our emotions up to a level 10. In it, they recreated a photo they took together after their first table read, 10 years ago. The original photo includes series regulars Sofia Vergara, Ed O'Neill, Rico Rodriguez, Nolan Gould, Ty Burrell, Sarah Hyland, Julie Bowen, Ariel Winter, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Eric Stonestreet, and the new one has the full group, plus Aubrey Anderson-Emmons. Oh, how times have changed.
"Modern Family" co-creator Steve Levitan shared the photo via Instagram on Wednesday, writing, "Ten years ago we took the first cast photo outside our first #modernfamily table read. Today, the ending begins."
This isn't the first time we've seen the cast's transformation. In January, for example, the "Modern Family" social media team put together a post for the 10-year challenge.
What's different this time is the nostalgia factor of seeing the cast come together for a final first table read, along with the visual proof of how long they've been a part of our lives. It's going to be an emotional ride from here on out.
"Modern Family" Season 11 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
