MTV Has Already Renewed 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation' for Season 2
Maybe Sammi will actually show up in Season 2.
"Jersey Shore Family Vacation" hasn't even aired yet -- it premieres Jerzday April 5 -- but MTV is hyped enough to already give it a second season.
The first season is set in Miami, bringing back "Jersey Shore" OGs Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio," Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, and Deena Nicole Cortese.
Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola decided not to show up, reportedly because she's in a good place in her life and she didn't want to get involved in the inevitable Ronnie drama.
It's not clear yet where the second season will be set. Maybe just Miami again?
Potential Season 2 snag: The Situation recently pleaded guilty to tax fraud. The judge approved him to travel to Miami for the first "Jersey Shore" reunion, but he still faces some jail time. Sentencing is scheduled for April 25. So those details will have to be worked out before the second season, unless Mike just skips it.
Anyway, MTV is going all-in with this "Jersey Shore" revival. They're airing four "Road to Vacation" specials starting Thursday, March 15. Every Thursday leading up to the premiere, fans will look back at the most memorable "Jersey Shore" moments and see all-new cast interviews.
"Jersey Shore Family Vacation" premieres Thursday, April 5 at 8 p.m. on MTV.
