New on DVD and Blu-ray

"Deadpool"
Not every movie -- not even every good movie -- is worth an immediate Blu-ray investment, but you're going to want to clear a sexy spot in your house for Ryan Reynolds's "Deadpool." The top R-rated movie around the world is out on DVD and Blu-ray May 10. We could list the Blu-ray features, but it's much more fun to get them from the Merc with a Mouth himself:

"Regression"
Emma Watson and Ethan Hawke star in this psychological horror film from writer/director
Alejandro Amenabar ("The Others"). The film releases on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital HD, and On Demand on May 10.

"Where to Invade Next"
Michael Moore's latest incendiary documentary/opinion piece, this time about the American military, comes out on DVD/Blu-ray on May 10.

"Scream: The TV Series"
A viral YouTube video leads to murder and other trouble for the teenagers of Lakewood in this MTV adaptation of the late Wes Craven's film "Scream." Season 1 of the TV series arrives on DVD May 10, which should give you enough time to catch up and prepare for the premiere of Season 2 on May 31. Special features include a gag reel and deleted scenes.

"Pride and Prejudice and Zombies"
As the wise Seth Grahame-Smith once wrote, "It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains." The Bennett sisters and Mr. Darcy unite to fight a zombie (walker?) outbreak in 19th century England in this film adaptation of the best-selling novel that was itself based on Jane Austen's classic. Lily James leads a stellar cast, including "Game of Thrones" Lannisters Charles Dance and Lena Headey, plus Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Bella Heathcote, Douglas Booth, and Matt Smith. Catch the movie on Digital HD May 10 before the Blu-ray/DVD releases on May 31. Bonus featurettes include "Courtship, Class and Carnage: Meet the Cast" and "From Austen to Zombies: Adapting a Classic." Blu-ray exclusives include deleted scenes, a gag reel, the featurettes "The Badass Bennet Sisters" and "Creating the Unmentionables," and a Mr. Collins Line-o-rama.

"Kung Fu Panda 3"
It's panda party time! The "Kung Fu Panda 3: Awesome Edition" arrives on Digital HD on May 13, well ahead of the Blu-ray and DVD releases on June 28. Jack Black returns to voice Po, who reunites with his long-lost father and travels to a secret village meeting a bunch of fun new panda friends and family members. But Po also has to train these newbies into a band of Kung Fu Pandas to battle supernatural villain Kai. Extras include a bunch of fun (and adorable) featurettes, plus deleted scenes.

"I Am Your Father"
May 4th was Star Wars Day, but you can continue the celebration with this documentary
about David Prowse, the actor behind the mask of Darth Vader in the Star Wars saga. The doc is available for download May 10. Check out the trailer:

New on Netflix

"Chelsea" (Netflix Original)
Chelsea Handler's new half-hour Netflix talk show, which should not be confused with her "Chelsea Does..." series, debuts May 11. As Netflix teased, "It's not her first talk show, but it's a first of its kind. Ideas, people, and places that fascinate her, three times a week, all in her unique style." According to ScreenCrush, her guests for the first week's three episodes include Drew Barrymore, Pitbul, U.S. Secretary of Education John B. King, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tony Hale, TEDTalk's Chris Anderson, Amy Dallen, and the cast of "Captain America: Civil War." Here's more from the synopsis: "Join Chelsea as she travels around the world – from Russia, Japan, and Mexico City, across the U.S. and back again to Sony Pictures Studios, where she tapes in front of a LIVE in-studio audience – to explore the subjects that matter most to you."

"Bleeding Heart"
Jessica Biel plays a yoga instructor who tries to protect her estranged sister (Zosia Mamet) from an abusive relationship in this 2015 drama, available on Netflix May 12. Kate Burton, Edi Gathegi, Joe Anderson, and Harry Hamlin co-star.

"Goosebumps"
Jack Black leads the cast of this 2015 family horror comedy, based on the book series by R.L. Stine, and you can watch it on Netflix starting May 11.

TV Worth Watching

"Quantico" (Sunday on ABC at 10 p.m.)
This is a huge week for season finales, including "Damien," "Grandfathered," "New Girl," "The Grinder," "Underground, "The Big Bang Theory," "Scandal," "2 Broke Girls," "The Vampire Diaries," "Hawaii Five-O," and "Quantico." Very few freshman series have success like Priyanka Chopra's "Quantico," and even though it has slipped in the ratings over the course of Season 1, it is still keeping fans talking, and guessing. The finale, Episode 22 is called "Yes," with this official synopsis from ABC: "It's graduation day for the NATS of Quantico, while, in the future, Alex (Chopra) and her team find themselves head-to-head with the terrorist."

"The Last Man on Earth" (Sunday on FOX at 9:30 p.m.)
Thank Tandy this show is coming back for a third season, 'cause it is just not in front of our half-shaven faces nearly enough. Season 2 of Will Forte's crazy not-so-solo ride through a fairly pleasant apocalypse ends with "30 Years of Science Down the Tubes." According to FOX, in the May 15 finale, "Phil and Mike grow closer than ever and the whole Malibu group gets a big friggin' surprise." Don't kill off Mike, please! Or really anyone!

"The Amazing Race" (Friday on CBS at 8 p.m.)
Season 28, which was cast with Internet stars (please don't do that again, CBS), comes to a close May 13 with the title "The Only First That Matters." Who will win this, Tyler & Korey, Dana & Matt, or Sheri & Cole? (Probably Tyler & Korey but it would be great for underdogs Sheri & Cole to pull out a surprise victory.)

"Inside Amy Schumer" (Thursday on Comedy Central at 10 p.m.)
Not everything this week is about finales. Amy Schumer's fourth season just started April 21, and so far it's as sharp as ever. The May 12 episode is called "Sociopath" and here's what to expect: "Amy plays the saxophone; attempting to buy a shirt; getting elected President of the United States."
