"Dancing With the Stars" Season 21 starts tonight (Monday, September 14) at 8 p.m. on ABC. Several weeks from now, in late November, one of the 13 crazy couples will be name the new Mirror Ball champions. Who will get the Fall 2015 trophy? Online betting site Bovada gave the best odds to former Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, who is paired with pro dancer Sharna Burgess.

It's not a bad pre-season pick. Nick, now 35, has name recognition, looks, probable talent, and enough mass appeal to potentially draw votes across age groups. Plus, Sharna is a very popular pro who has yet to win a trophy. It feels like this might be her time.

What do you think of these odds? As you can see, they tied Gary Busey and Paula Deen as the underdogs of the season. The oddsmakers are only occasionally accurate in picking DWTS winners, partly because they never seem to take a huge factor into consideration: the pro dancers. For example, Bindi Irwin is paired with five-time champion Derek Hough, who usually makes the finals and hasn't placed lower than fourth since Season 8.
