The 2015 awards season is reaching its pinnacle as the 88th Academy Awards draw near. But while the Oscars are generally regarded as the final word in what's good in film, not every Oscar selection truly stands the test of time.
It's hard not to look back at past years and wonder what exactly the Academy were thinking when they failed to honor such enduring classics as "Citizen Kane," "Raging Bull," or "Pulp Fiction."
