The Friday, November 13 attacks in Paris are much more important than TV and film schedules, but they have prompted responses and changes from Hollywood's usual MO.

CBS announced it's changing its Monday, November 16 lineup, switching out episodes of "Supergirl" and "NCIS: Los Angeles" that had bombing and terrorist themes so they don't air just three days after the real-life terror. According to Entertainment Weekly, CBS originally planned to air an episode of "Supergirl" called "How Does She Do It?" following "a series of bombings" that strike National City. That will be replaced tonight with a Thanksgiving-pegged episode called "Livewire."

"NCIS: LA," which airs Mondays at 10 p.m., was set to air an episode with a young girl who was recruited into a terrorist organization. The new episode follows the search for a missing woman. (Maybe the takeaway is to realize terrorism and bombings and mass murders in general are not good fodder for entertainment programming. Just a thought.)

"Saturday Night Live" skipped the usual cold open and just had a touching message from Cecily Strong, to say -- in French and English -- that their hearts were with the City of Light.


Bill Maher, Stephen Colbert, and John Oliver also addressed the act of terror right away (with John dropping multiple f-bombs on his Sunday show). "Bridge of Spies" and "Jane Got a Gun" promo events were canceled, and the stars of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" -- which was filmed partly in Paris -- will not do any red carpet interviews. at the L.A. premiere.

"Out of respect for the very recent events in Paris, we have decided to modify our red carpet and we will not conduct interviews at Monday's Mockingjay 2 premiere," a Lionsgate representative told EW and PEOPLE. "We will proceed with the rest of the event as planned in honor of the incredible fans who have always supported our films with such passion."

That's just a selection of responses, and the late night TV hosts will most likely address the Paris attacks tonight on their respective shows.
