Producers Guild Award TV Nominees Include 'Westworld,' 'Game of Thrones,' 'Stranger Things'
The Producers Guild of America has announced its slate of nominees for its annual television awards, honoring a bunch of buzzy new series alongside some established favorites.
Among the nominations for the 2017 Producers Guild Awards, which were revealed on Thursday, were lots of new shows, including "Westworld," "Stranger Things," "Atlanta," the Tom Hiddleston-starring "The Night Manager," and Emmy darling "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story." On the nonfiction, reality, and talk fronts, the inaugural seasons of "Making a Murderer," "Lip Sync Battle," and "Full Frontal With Samantha Bee" were all cited, too.
An especially bittersweet honor was reserved for "Girl Meets World," which nabbed a nomination for Outstanding Children's Program for its second and third seasons. The Disney Channel series was officially cancelled this week.
Nominations in the PGA film categories will be announced on January 10. The full list of television nominees is below.
The 28th annual Producers Guild Awards will be handed out at a ceremony in Los Angeles on January 28.
