Production resumed Tuesday in England on “Fast & Furious 9,” one day after an accident left a stuntman in the hospital.

The stuntman, Joe Watts, was working on a second unit when he sustained head injuries in a fall. He has been placed in a medically induced coma after being airlifted to a London hospital.

According to Variety, Watts was not Vin Diesel’s stunt double, as had been reported by some British tabloids.

On Monday night, his girlfriend posted on social media that Watts had suffered a serious head injury but was in a stable condition. She has since deleted the post.

Watts's previous stuntwork includes "Spider-Man: Far from Home," "Fighting With My Family," "Mission: Impossible - Fallout," "Solo: A Star Wars Story," and "Star Wars: The Last Jedi."

While main-unit filming has started again, the second unit is still shut down.

A spokesman for Health and Safety Executive, the UK government agency that  monitors set safety, told Variety, "HSE is investigating the incident following attendance at the scene yesterday."

"Fast & Furious 9" is set to open May, 2020.
