Read Bindi Irwin's Sweet Tribute to Her Father on Steve Irwin Day

Steve Irwin, aka "The Crocodile Hunter," died in 2006 at age 44, when his daughter Bindi Irwin was just 8. Now Bindi is 17 and the frontrunner to win the Fall 2015 "Dancing With the Stars" Season 21.

Bindi, a wildlife conservationist like her parents, has been honoring her beloved father throughout the DWTS season. But yesterday -- November 15 -- was actually Steve Irwin Day in Australia, so Bindi and her pro partner Derek Hough both took to Instagram to honor the Aussie legend.

The greatest Dad on Earth. November 15. Steve Irwin Day. Remembering everything Dad worked so hard to achieve and continuing his legacy. We miss you so much and are extremely proud to be carrying on in your footsteps. Yesterday we celebrated #SteveIrwinDay in Australia. Today, let's celebrate together on the other side of the world, today on November 15. Thank you for joining us in making a difference. Wearing our khakis and remember everything Dad did to change the world.

Tonight (11/16), Bindi and Derek have three dances for the Season 21 Semifinals. That's one more dance than expected, but when Tamar Braxton dropped out for health reasons, DWTS had to compensate for already being down to four couples. The Fall 2015 Mirror Ball champions will be named next Tuesday, November 24 in the finale. Do you think Team Crikey has this thing locked up?
