The latest "The Batman" rumor: Vanessa Kirby of "Hobbs & Shaw" and "Mission: Impossible -- Fallout" might be the next Catwoman.

Everything (apart from the film starring Robert Pattinson as Batman and Matt Reeves directing) is still rumor at this stage.

Catwoman hasn't even been officially confirmed to appear in the film yet, so don't hold your breath over this one.

However, Kirby, who also played Princess Margaret on Netflix's "The Crown," is reportedly one of the names in contention, according to Geeks Worldwide.

And, let it be noted, "Parks and Rec" alum Aubrey Plaza wants the role of Selina Kyle just as badly as Josh Gad wants to play the Penguin.

You can see Kirby in action in "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw," which opens August 1.

Kirby received an Emmy nomination for her role as Princess Margaret, a role that will be played by Helena Bonham Carter in the upcoming third season of "The Crown."
