Thanks to 'Rick and Morty,' McDonald's Szechuan Sauce Is Back -- For One Day Only
When "Rick and Morty" fans heard Rick go on a rant about how you can't get Szechuan sauce at McDonald's anymore, they took up the cause.
After that April episode, McDonald's sent the show a big jug of the stuff, which was first created in 1998 to promote Disney's "Mulan." After seeing that it still existed, fans demanded some as well.
Chef Mike Haracz tweeted yesterday that the special sauce will be back in restaurants -- but for one day only! Head to your local Micky D's on this Saturday, October 7, and you too, can live out the dream of dipping your McNuggets in that sweet, sweet Szechuan sauce. (Psst: You can get Szechuan sauce at other restaurants, you know.)
Your fans showed us what they got, now WE got to bring it back.???? Super limited run Szechuan Sauce, only on 10/7! https://t.co/saa8FfGYNQpic.twitter.com/i2SbRtTxn5
