Ronda Rousey's Plan to Win Captain Marvel Role
Ronda Rousey proves she's a fighter inside and outside of the octagon.
The UFC star, who's keen on conquering Hollywood, has been campaigning to play super heroine Captain Marvel since August. And the 28-year-old athlete revealed to "Entertainment Tonight" how she intends on getting the gig.
"I'm really looking forward to doing my first starring role opposite Mark Wahlberg," Rousey said, who is starring with Wahlberg in "Mile 22." "Hopefully by the time Captain Marvel comes around, I will have enough experience and skills in the field for them to really seriously consider me."
Rousey's "Mile 22" role is just one part of her strategy. She reportedly will star in her own biopic based on her memoir “My Fight/Your Fight,” as well as take on Patrick Swayze’s role in a forthcoming reboot of 1989’s “Road House.”
Previously Rousey has had big screen roles in “The Expendables 3,” “Furious 7″ and
“Entourage,” appearing as herself.
