"Rosewood" debuted in fall 2016 as a lead-in to "Empire" on Wednesday nights and performed well, which earned it a quick second season renewal. However, this season, the crime drama moved to Thursdays and ratings suffered. Season 2 averaged just 3 million viewers and 0.7 in the 18-49 demographic.
The show starred Morris Chestnut as a private pathologist who works closely with the Miami police on cases. Chestnut announced the cancellation on Instagram:
