Scarlett Johansson: Iron Man Is Real and He's 'Lovely'

Talk about friends in high places! One of the best parts about shooting “Iron Man 2” for Scarlett Johansson was meeting Elon Musk, the man behind the Space X and Tesla.

He’s known as the real life Iron Man due to his large pocketbook, his affinity for futuristic technology and his hope to do good things for society.

"I know him because we did 'Iron Man 2' together," she told Stephen Colbert on "The Late Show" on Wednesday. "He had a moment in 'Iron Man 2.' He was there and let us use SpaceX, his facility, in Los Angeles, which was incredible."

As luck would have it, Musk was Colbert's guest after the actress.

Speaking of meeting Musk on the set of the superhero movie, Johansson said, "I was just fascinated by the man behind all of that, SpaceX and Tesla and Solar City and I asked if i could have a tour of SpaceX."

The Los Angeles-based company designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft. (Eat your heart out, Tony Stark.)

“I met him and he’s a lovely guy,” Johansson said, “and very, very interesting.”
