See the First Poster for 'Black Panther' (And Watch First Trailer During NBA Finals Tonight)
Chadwick Boseman looks regal as hell in the first poster for "Black Panther." In the upcoming film, he plays T'Challa, king of Wakanda, who is also the (usually) masked superhero Black Panther.
Per THR, the film, takes place after the events of "Captain America: Civil War," where Cap and crew learned Black Panther's true identity. Black Panther will be going up against Michael B. Jordan as evil Killmonger and Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis), who was first seen in "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
Among the stellar cast: Oscar winners Lupita Nyong'o and Forest Whitaker,Danai Gurira (sword-wielding Michonne on "The Walking Dead"), Daniel Kaluuya ("Get Out"), and Angela Bassett.
THR already got a look at some footage, including the new king's coronation and a casino fight with Serkis's bad guy.
And look for the first teaser trailer for the film during tonight's NBA Finals, which start at 6 p.m. PT on ABC. As for the movie itself, you'll have to wait until Feb. 16, 2018.
