11 Guest Stars You Totally Forgot Appeared on 'Sex and the City'
"Sex and the City" had many guest stars throughout its six-season run, so it only makes sense that an impressive list of major actors graced the HBO series with their presences. Here are 11 celebrities who you probably forgot spent time with Carrie and friends on "Sex and the City."
Will Arnett (Season 2, Episode 12)
The man also known as Gob Bluth played a short-lived lover of Miranda's, who enjoyed getting intimate in public places outside of the bedroom.
Elizabeth Banks (Season 3, Episode 2)
In a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo, the "Pitch Perfect" star portrayed a woman who just happened to be married to a guy that Charlotte was interested. Charlotte eventually found Harry -- and Elizabeth went on to superstardom.
Clark Gregg (Season 3, Episode 12)
When Miranda decides to ditch her attorney title and pretend to be a flight attendant, she wins over a hunky doctor in the form of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s" Clark Gregg. We forgive the lie -- turns out the dude's really an assistant manager at Athlete's Foot...
Alanis Morissette (Season 3, Episode 4)
She's not just a seven-time Grammy winner, she's an ex girlfriend of an openly-bisexual guy that Carrie dates briefly (remember Sean?). Carrie almost kisses this person in a game of spin the bottle.
Kat Dennings (Season 3, Episode 15)
Two Broke Girls," but she made her acting debut on "Sex and the City" 18 years ago. There, she played a bratty tween planning her Bat Mitzvah with the help of PR guru extraordinaire, Samantha Jones.
Carrie Fisher (Season 3, Episode 14)
The LA-set eps of "SATC" brought out some notable guest stars, most memorably the late Carrie Fisher. She played herself in an awkward scene where Vince Vaughn's character is exposed as her house-sitter after posing as a big time agent. Her exchange with Carrie (Bradshaw, that is), who she assumes is a prostitute, is priceless.
Vince Vaughn (Season 3, Episode 14)
As previously mentioned, a post-"Swingers" and pre-"Old School" Vince tried to dupe Carrie into thinking he was a Hollywood heavy-hitter.
Sarah Michelle Gellar (Season 3, Episode 13)
Buffy herself makes a cameo in the other La La Land installment, "Escape From New York," as a young and enthusiastic development exec interested in optioning Carrie's column into a movie deal.
Geri Halliwell (Season 6, Episode 10)
We're not sure why a Spice Girl was enlisted to act as an acquaintance of Samantha's, who urges Geri to go to Soho House amidst the brutal NYC summer heat, but she's here.
Justin Theroux (Season 1, Episode 7 / Season 2, Episode 15)
Theroux pulled double duty on "SATC," appearing twice in two seasons and as two separate characters. First, he appeared as a friend of Stanford's, with a spot on NY Mag's "30 Coolest People 30" list. Then, he showed up as a writer named Vaughn, whose family bonds with Carrie.
Bradley Cooper (Season 2, Episode 4)
The multiple Oscar-nominee got his first on-screen gig playing one of Carrie's suitors, the "sexy single smoker" Jake.
