Sophie Turner's New 'Game of Thrones' Tattoo Is Powerful & Perfect
House Stark 4EVA.
"Game of Thrones" Season 8 will mark the series finale, and it's just about done filming. Most of the cast members seem to have completed their roles, and the wrap party looked insane.
Actress Sophie Turner's character Sansa Stark, has had one of the more transformative arcs of the series. We're not sure what will happen to Sansa in Season 8, but it's clear House Stark and the direwolf vigil will be with her forever.
Australian tattoo artist Lauren Winzer showed off Sophie Turner's new tattoo:
You'll recognize that line. It was showcased in a voiceover from Sansa in the first trailer for "Game of Thrones" Season 7, then aired later in the season.
"When the snows fall, and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives."
The line was mentioned to or by Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) a few times in George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series. It was also a callback to a speech Ned Stark (Sean Bean) gave Arya in Season 1.
"In the winter, we must protect ourselves — look after one another. Sansa is your sister. When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives." — Ned Stark, AGOT https://t.co/8g45RvIxSDpic.twitter.com/4n3vs1FPU8

Do you think a "lone wolf" will die in the final season? House Stark has already lost most of its members, and is down to just Sansa, Arya, Bran, and -- because he was raised as Ned's son -- Jon.
Maybe it's a shout-out to Turner's own pack, with fellow GoT actors and/or in her personal life. Turner didn't repost the photo, for whatever reason. Could it be considered spoilery enough to fall under the GoT social media ban for Season 8?
Speaking of the wolf pack, though, this is the second GoT tattoo that we know about for Sophie Turner, following the matching tat she got with Maisie Williams. They both got date tats honoring when they were cast on the show. Since that date, they have been both on-screen sisters and off-screen best friends. Their pack will live on, even as GoT ends.
"Game of Thrones" Season 8 will air at some point in 2019. We're waiting for a trailer and premiere date. HBO? We're waiting.
