The long-in-development "Methusaleh" movie may have found its director.

Jon Watts ("Spider-Man: Homecoming" and "Far From Home") is in early talks to direct the film, which will star Michael B. Jordan, according to Deadline.

Jordan is also set to produce under his Outlier Society banner, which has a deal with Warner Bros.

The story follows a man who has managed to stay alive for over 400 years, though he does not physically appear to age. In that time, he has accumulated vast intellectual knowledge, from multiple languages to the sciences, as well as survival skills.

The project has been in the works for a long time at Warner Bros. At one point, Tom Cruise was interested in playing the central character. The "Highlander"-like mythology has franchise potential.
