The Force is strong with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and maybe it was too strong to be contained in the "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" poster or the new trailer.

Fans immediately noticed that the hero of the original trilogy was nowhere to be found in the most recently released material. The Associated Press asked director JJ Abrams if there was a reason for the lack of Luke in the trailer and poster. "It's no accident," Abrams said, adding, "These are good questions to be asking. I can't wait for you to find out the answers."

So vague! Harrison Ford (Han Solo) was no better last night on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," although -- scratch that -- everything is better when said from a hot dog costume. Ford even managed to stay deadpan in his costume, telling Jimmy, "there's a very good reason," why Luke is missing from the poster. He wouldn't share the reason, but he did praise the "phenomenal" new cast members and JJ Abrams, and said of the movie, "It's really, really good. ... You will not be disappointed at all, I promise." Harrison Ford is not exactly one to gush, so if he said it, he probably meant it.

Here's his interview:

All answers will arrive on December 18, but you probably have a theory on why Luke is missing (or appears to be missing?) from the promo material, so what's your take?
