'Stranger Things' Season 2 Adds Brett Gelman as Conspiracy Theorist
The truth is out there in Hawkins, Indiana!
"Stranger Things" is adding yet another new cast member for season 2: Actor/comedian Brett Gelman. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gelman will play Murray Bauman, "a disgraced journalist-turned-conspiracy theorist who is investigating a cold case in Hawkins." Perhaps that cold case has ties to Hawkins Laboratory and the Energy Department.
Gelman recently severed ties with longtime network partner Adult Swim over misogynistic policies and support of a show tied to the alt-right.
Gelman is just the latest new face to join the Netflix '80s-era supernatural drama. Sean Astin and Paul Reiser are hopping on board season 2, as are Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery as siblings new to town.
Director Shawn Levy recently said, "There are several new characters who I think several of them are going to be new fan-favorites because they're great, great new characters."
Don't worry, Barb, you won't be forgotten.
