Here's some exciting "Stranger Things" Season 2 news to keep your Christmas lights blinking until the 2017 premiere.

The first four episodes of Season 2 are "going to be a ride," Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers) promised, and you should really keep an eye out for Episode 4. It'll go to 11!

Heaton teased some good stuff ahead on the Netflix series, while promoting his new movie "Shut In" to Entertainment Tonight. "Stranger Things" Season 2 picks up a year after Season 1, but it won't feel like we're missing much. "I don't think you're gonna notice," Heaton told ET. "Even though it's a year, you're falling straight back into where we left off, in a sense." They just had to "let things settle" for the story, and also acknowledge as a series that the young actors had aged a year.

Asked for anything that excited him about the new season, Heaton -- wary of spoilers -- said, "We follow these characters a year later, and you're straight back in the world of Hawkins, [Indiana], which we know and love so well. But maybe the scope feels bigger this year? I think we're maybe expecting it be slightly darker, I've heard. Yeah, Episode 1-4 is going to be a ride." He paused, and decided on his answer. "OK, Episode 4 is a big episode."

Watch his interview:Season 2 is adding a couple of new characters -- and those actors were included in the recent first table read photo. The Duffer brothers said Season 2 would be "darker" with "a bigger mythology behind what happened." We'll spend more time exploring the "inter-dimensional" rift of the Upside Down, among other things. And apparently we WILL see justice for Barb ... even if she might not be alive for it.
