'Stranger Things' Season 2 Trailer Brings 'Thriller' to Hawkins
Two pop culture sensations have come together -- "Stranger Things" and "Thriller."
Netflix's San Diego Comic-Con presentation on Saturday came with a brand new trailer for Season 2 of its hit sci-fi horror series in which the Michael Jackson song is prominently featured. However, with all the intrigue the preview offers, "Thriller" wasn't necessary to capture our interest. Not at all.
The footage returns us to Hawkins, Indiana, where arcade games aren't enough to distract Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) from a lingering darkness. Creepy, bizarre things are happening, and the poor kid is struggling even with the support of his friends Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo). We don't know what the culprit is yet, of course -- that's what Season 2 is for.
Meanwhile, we don't see anything of everyone's favorite waffle lover Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) initially. Don't worry, though; she pops up at the end, bloody nose and all.
"Stranger Things" Season 2 hits Netflix on Oct. 27.
