'Stranger Things' Season 3: Millie Bobby Brown Teases 'Beautiful Storyline' for Eleven
We've seen plenty of Eleven in two seasons of "Stranger Things" so far, but we're ready to see what life has in store for Jane Hopper.
Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven/Jane) appeared alongside co-star Noah Schapp (Will Byers) and director-slash-executive producer Shawn Levy at Netflix's FYSee event at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, California, on Saturday, and she revealed a little about what we can expect to see from her character. Eleven has had a difficult time of it, to say the least, over the years, so we were hoping to hear good things. Based on what Brown told Variety on the red carpet, we're optimistic.
"It's a beautiful storyline for Eleven this season," Brown said. "It's really a coming of age for her and understanding what being a normal teenage girl is."
Schnapp also gave us hope on that score by teasing that Season 3 won't be as dark as Season 2 was. He described Season 1 to Variety as "more playful" than the "darker" Season 2, and then indicated that the upcoming season will be more of a blend of playful and dark elements.
"That's what I love about it," he said.
For Eleven, we'd like to see her storyline include new friendships. She has spent so much time isolated -- first trapped in Hawkins National Laboratory and then hiding in the woods -- that she could really use more close bonds in her life. Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield) shared in December that she'd like to see the two girls become friends, telling Bustle that she hopes the initial tension caused by Eleven's jealousy will be "resolved."
"Stranger Things" Season 3 is expected to premiere in 2019.
