Goodbye Halloween tricks. Hello summer treats?

"Stranger Things" Season 3 isn't coming out until next summer, and now we know the story itself will be pretty steamy. Season 2 arrived around Halloween 2017, covering Halloween 1984; and Season 3 will arrive in Summer 2019, giving us 1985's The Summer of Love.

Cue Huey Lewis' "The Power of Love" from 1985's "Back to the Future"!

Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) told Us Weekly about the new season, or at least the start of it based on the scripts he had received by early August:

"I don't know much about it because we get the scripts as we go along. But yeah, it’s set in 1985, in the summer. It’s the summer of love — that’s all I can say, really."

Nice. "Grey's Anatomy" Season 15 has a "season of love" theme and now we have "the summer of love" in Hawkins, Indiana. Loving it.

There's a lot of potential love to go around Hawkins.

There's obviously young teen couples Mike and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Max (Sadie Sink).

But there's also the love triangle of Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer), Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton), and our boy Steve Harrington (Joe Keery). Will new girl Robin, who works with Steve at his new mall job, join that love ... square?

Of course, we're also hoping that Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) and Chief Hopper (David Harbour) may connect on a romantic level this year.

Here's what David Harbour teased to TV Guide on that front:

"I think we'll start to see him take more risks with these new languages of intimacy and vulnerability and maybe we'll start to see that he has needs that he hasn't expressed before. That's exciting to watch him open up in that way. Of course he's going to flail and be horrible at it too, which is always fun as well."

And don't forget that sexy-funny scene between Mike's mom Karen Wheeler (Cara Buono) and Max's brother Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery).

Executive producer Shawn Levy had teased to Glamour that Karen and her marital "discontent" will return to focus going forward:

"Karen has some unhappiness that is brewing. I think that makes her vulnerable to all kinds of things in Season 3. ... We have much more story for Karen that is linked to her discontent and her dissatisfied sexuality. In the end, there wasn't room [in Season 2] to service all the ideas. Some ideas got punted to next season and maybe beyond, but we're not done with Karen Wheeler and her failing marriage."

Netflix has yet to give "Stranger Things" Season 3 a premiere date beyond next summer, but it's meant to be "bigger and better" than Season 2.
