We've heard a lot of things about "Stranger Things" Season 3 at this point -- so many that our heads are spinning.

The acclaimed Netflix series is going to be darker. It's going to be the "summer of love." It's going to be light and fun. It takes bigger risks. All this information is just overwhelming now, especially given that some of the descriptors seem to contradict one another.

At this point, we're ready for a single takeaway, and we're choosing what executive producer Shawn Levy said in a tweet on Thursday.

"It’s gonna be worth the wait. Promise," he wrote in part.

Levy's tweet came in response to a First Post article about an interview he'd done with The Playlist. In it, he'd said that the season "goes places that are darker, and unquestionably more action-packed, than we've ever gone before." Apparently, he felt his comments weren't clear enough, because in his tweet afterward, he clarified that "there's plenty of summer fun AND light" plus "a WHOLE LOT more."

From what we can tell, Season 3 can't be summed up in a single word, and we should just count on it being great.

The upcoming season of "Stranger Things" will debut on Netflix next summer.
