Student Academy Awards Winners Announced
Aspiring filmmakers are joining the company of acclaimed directors Spike Lee, Pete Docter, John Lasseter, Trey Parker and Robert Zemeckis, as winners of the 42nd Student Academy Awards.
The 15 winners of the 42nd annual award, which honors student directors, triumphed among a competitive pool of 1,686 films from 282 domestic and 93 international colleges and universities. They will be honored with gold, silver and bronze medals at a ceremony held Sept. 17 at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
