'The Grinch' Trailer Sees the Green Grump at His Grouchiest
Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the Grinch-iest of them all? This guy!
The first trailer for "The Grinch," an animated movie from the people behind the "Despicable Me" franchise, is here to ruin your Christmas good cheer. Benedict Cumberbatch voices the curmudgeonly green monster, who grumbles his way through the day.
First, he swats at his radio alarm clock because it's playing "Happy" by Pharrell. Later, at the town grocery store, he purposely breaks a jar of jam another customer wants.
Don't even get us started on what he does with a jar of pickles. He's the worst! And yet, somehow so charming.
Dr. Seuss' classic and beloved tale has been adapted into numerous movies and TV specials, the most recent of which was Ron Howard's live-action 2000 film starring Jim Carrey as the Grinch.
Cumberbatch doesn't get much play in the trailer, but his distinctive, deep voice seems perfect for the grouch.
"The Grinch" opens in theaters November 9, just in time for him to steal Christmas.
