The Joker Is Coming to 'Gotham' Sooner Than You Think
One of the biggest questions surrounding Fox's Batman origin series "Gotham" has been when fans can expect to see iconic villain The Joker. Now, executive producer Bruno Heller has revealed that Batman's arch nemesis will be featured sooner rather than later.
In an interview with TV Guide, Heller said that initial plans to wait until at least season two to introduce The Joker have been altered -- and the villain will now appear sometime before the end of season one.
"We've said you're going to be waiting a bit longer for it, but this is America -- nobody wants to wait," Heller told TV Guide. "So, we will scratch the surface of that story, yes. But just scratch it -- a little tap on the door."
Heller declined to comment further on the Joker storyline, though he did tease that there would be lots of development in the Edward Nygma/The Riddler transformation during the latter half of the first season. Sounds like there will be plenty to keep fans occupied until The Joker shows up.
