'The Mandalorian' to Star 'Game of Thrones' Alum Pedro Pascal
Pedro Pascal is moving from Westeros to a galaxy far, far away.
The "Game of Thrones" alum is set to star in Disney's upcoming "Star Wars" spinoff series, "The Mandalorian." According to Variety, Pascal's name had been in the conversation over who to cast as the show's lead for quite some time; now, he's officially on board. (Disney, however, has not made any announcement or comment about the casting just yet.)
"The Mandalorian" follows the exploits of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy (we're assuming that's the role that Pascal will be playing), and takes place after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. The splashy series is set to be one of the cornerstones of Disney's new streaming service, Disney+, and as such features an all-star creative team led by Jon Favreau (who wrote the series and will executive produce) and directors Dave Filoni (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” “Star Wars Rebels”), Deborah Chow, Rick Famuyiwa (“Dope”), Bryce Dallas Howard, and Taika Waititi.
We can't wait to watch the electric Pascal shine in the "Star Wars"-verse. Here's hoping he gets to wear even more power suits.
