The Rock's Rant Was Reportedly About Vin Diesel, But Tyrese Seems Most Upset
Look at this "candy ass" boy drama escalating! They'd be pulling each other's hair if they had any. Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, shook the Internet with his Instagram post calling out his male co-stars in "Fast 8." Which male co-stars? He did not name them, leaving fans to speculate. According to TMZ, The Rock meant Vin Diesel.
Here's that report from TMZ:
"We're told The Rock has butted heads with Vin during the production, in part because V.D. is a producer and has made decisions that didn't sit well with the former wrestling champ.
Our sources say The Rock and Vin had a meeting on the Atlanta set mid-day Tuesday ... partly because tensions were running so high it was almost impossible to shoot scenes. We do not know if they resolved their issues."
These divas! Meanwhile, Tyrese Gibson felt the need to share -- then delete -- a frustrated "not me" rant of his own, directed at fans who seem to think he was the target. Baller Alert captured the post (via E! News):
TMZ said The Rock's male co-stars were all pissed at him for taking that public shot at one of them, dragging down all of them. Sources said all of the male co-stars shot on Tuesday -- The Rock, Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Tyrese, Ludacris, Scott Eastwood, etc. So that must've been one awkward set. The "Fast 8" stars, male and female, were reportedly upset at The Rock for the timing as well as the content, since filming wraps in just over a week and, as one source told TMZ, "This is a hell of a way to end it."
