'This Is Us,' Other Shows Move Due to President Obama's Farewell Address
President Barack Obama will make a farewell address to nation Tuesday, and the speech is causing ripple effects across the networks' schedules.
The address will air at 9 p.m. on all three major broadcast networks. In response, NBC is pushing back the return of its hit new drama "This Is Us" from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Eastern and Central time zones, so that viewers won't have to miss or record it. That means we'll all find out Toby's fate by the end of the evening.
An encore episode of new game show "The Wall" will air and be joined in progress when the address is over, at 9:40 p.m. On the West Coast, "This Is Us" will air the same episode back-to-back in both time slots.
CBS, meanwhile, chose to pull a new episode of "Bull" and will air a repeat of the season 9 finale of "The Big Bang Theory."
ABC pushed back "Fresh Off the Boat" from its usual 9 p.m. time to after the speech.
