Unforgettable Disney Channel TV Shows, Ranked By Plausibility
Is it a rule that Disney Channel TV shows have the most absurd premises possible? Here, we look back at 8 memorable TV shows from the beloved network and rank them from totally believable to totally ridiculous.
8. 'Lizzie McGuire'
There's nothing too unbelievable about a tween girl coming of age while dealing with stuff like bras and boys and oh-how-embarrassing klutzy moments."The Lizzie McGuire Movie" is another story considering the title character is mistaken for an international pop star and totally runs with the whole thing until she performs at the Italian Music Awards. That's all well and good, because this show is a classic and "What Dreams Are Made Of" is a beautiful song. Ridiculousness level: 2
7. 'The Suite Life of Zack & Cody'
Twin brothers living in a Boston hotel? OK. OK. We'll buy it. But they did make an unacceptable ruckus and caused some property damage along the way... We'll accept it, aside from the fact that they meet an actual ghost in one episode. Ridiculousness level: 3
6. 'Cory In the House'
It makes perfect sense that a child would have to move into the White House if his dad got a job as chef to the President. But it seems like national security is pretty lax in this alternate universe and Cory gets away with a lot, plus, he also appears to be one the leader of the free world's most trusted allies. At one point he gives unauthorized tours of the White House. In another episode, he sneaks on to Air Force One to retrieve the deed to Alaska from Russia. Don't' worry -- he and the Prime Minister settle the fate of the state by having a video game dance-off. Ridiculous level: 5
5. 'Hannah Montana'
You're telling me that people couldn't tell the difference between Miley Stewart and Hannah Montana? She came THISCLOSE to blowing her cover, like, every other episode. That streaky bang wig and those rhinestone jackets aren't exactly C.I.A. approved disguises. Ridiculousness level: 6
4. 'Wizards of Waverly Place'
We all have hope in our heart of hearts that Hogwarts exists, so a family of wizards isn't too out of the question, is it? it's far-fetched fantasy... but like "Charmed" and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" before it, we welcome the genre with open arms. Ridiculousness level: 6
3. 'That's So Raven'
Let's just put it out there: this show has a tendency to be weird AF, but it's absolutely hilarious. The fact that Raven is a psychic is surreal enough, but have you ever seen the one where she has an allergic reaction to mushrooms on national TV? It's insane. Then there's the time when a spell causes people to turn into cows. Some of her visions are beyond bizarre, but that's what makes the show so... ahem, Raven. Ridiculousness level: 7
2. 'Phil of the Future'
The premise of this show is that a family from 2121 gets stuck in modern day America when their time machine breaks down. OK... They also have a Caveman named Curtis with them for some reason. And no pinky toes because that is how humans have evolved? They're really off, but nobody seems to be that suspicious of their fish-out-of-water behavior. Ridiculous level: 8
1. 'Dog with a Blog'
The title truly says it all. The family dog... has a blog. His name is Stan and he has a poodle wife named Princess. And he can talk. Enough said. Ridiculous level: 10. But we'll take it because dogs.
