Are we 100 percent sure Carl Grimes isn't Shane's child, too? "The Walking Dead" Season 7, Episode 7, "Sing Me a Song" airs this Sunday, December 4, and it is looking like a comic fan's dream hour 90 minutes. Mini Grimes (Chandler Riggs) will face off against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), to potentially surprising results.

The episode title teases a Negan/Carl moment from the "Walking Dead" comic, and a new AMC promo -- focused on Carl going "behind enemy lines" to the Sanctuary -- shares more comic book nods:You can see Carl unwrapping his bandage to flash his empty eye socket to Negan, which happened in the comic as well. In the comic, though, Carl is younger than the character on TV, so maybe this Carl won't cry the way comic Carl did after Negan insulted his "disgusting" eye wound.

The Carl/Negan relationship is intriguing, but it will probably infuriate Rick Grimes and add to his living hell. Poor guy.

Here's the official promo for Episode 7:"Sing Me a Song" is the penultimate episode of the first half, to be followed by the Episode 8 midseason finale, "Hearts Still Beating," on December 11. Then it's radio silence until February 2017.

"The Walking Dead" airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
