Watch Iron Boy's Wish Come True, Thanks to Robert Downey Jr.
Brace yourself for an attack of the warm-and-fuzzies. A 9-year-old Australian boy named Domenic Pace, who has cystic fibrosis, has always dreamed of being a superhero, and -- like most of us -- he loves Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man. Domenic's wish through the Make-a-Wish Foundation was to become the superhero Iron Boy. After almost a year of planning, his wish was granted.
"Iron Boy" just took down Ultron at Sydney, Australia's iconic Sydney Opera House, got a medal of gallantry from police, and was even helicoptered to Police HQ -- all while wearing his own special suit. There are photos of the event all over Twitter, with fans thanking Iron Boy for saving Sydney. It's so sweet to see how people turned out to support Dom, even waving "We Love Iron Boy" signs.
Robert Downey Jr. was a big part of making this happen; he tweeted about the "mission" for young Iron Boy, and even made a video of Tony Stark declaring Dominic an honorary member of the Avengers.
