'Pet Sematary' (July 9)

Stephen King's classic novel gets a new adaptation, having previously made it to the big screen in 1989. The story is the same: A doctor (Jason Clarke) and his family move to a house in rural Maine, where they discover a burial ground nearby in the woods. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.

The movie arrives on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on July 9 (and is already available on Digital HD). Bonus content includes an alternate ending, deleted and extended scenes, and making-of featurettes.

'Little' (July 9)

Marsai Martin, the talented young child star of ABC's "black-ish" came up with this new spin on the classic comedy "Big." The story follows a ruthless, overbearing boss (Regina Hall) who routinely torments her assistant (Issa Rae). Then, one day she is transformed into her 13-year-old self (Martin) and faces the horrors  of middle school — leading her to reevaluate her old behavior.

The movie arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on July 9 (and is already available on Digital HD). Bonus content includes a gag reel and making-of featurettes.

'High Life' (July 9)

The future Batman, aka Robert Pattinson, stars in the first English language film from visionary French director Claire Denis ("Chocolat"). The erotic thriller stars Pattinson as Monte, who lives aboard the spacecraft with his baby daughter. He's part of a crew made up of convicts and death row inmates who are guinea pigs for bizarre experiments conducted by the nefarious Dr. Dibs (Juliette Binoche).

The movie arrives on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on July 9 (and is already available on Digital HD). Bonus content includes making-of featurettes.

'Europa Europa' (July 9): Criterion releases a new 2K restoration of this gripping 1990 war drama, supervised by director Agnieszka Holland. The story is based on the autobiography of Solomon Perel, a German Jewish boy who escaped the Holocaust by masquerading as a Nazi.

BRD Trilogy (July 9): The prolific young German director Rainer Werner Fassbinder cemented his place in the annals of his country's cinema with this trio of films tracing the postwar history of West Germany — "The Marriage of Maria Braun,""Veronika Voss," and "Lola," which all get new restorations from Criterion.

'Hellboy' (July 9)

Neil Marshall's new take on the beloved comics character stars David Harbour of "Stranger Things" as the rough-around-the-edges half-demon. Chock-full of violence, gore, and F-bombs, the movie traces Hellboy's origin story and touches on his training by adoptive father Trevor Bruttenholm (Ian McShane). Now all grown up (and with a mouth to prove it) Hellboy and his giant, smashing arm join the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense to defeat the medieval sorceress Nimue the Blood Queen (Milla Jovovich).

'Alita: Battle Angel' (July 9)

Based on the Japanese manga series, this cyberpunk adventure centers on an amnesiac cyborg girl wakens in a new body with no memory of who she is. As she learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, the compassionate doctor Ido tries to shield her from her mysterious past.

'Missing Link' (July 9)

The newest offering from LAIKA (the animation studio behind "Coraline" and "The Boxtrolls") is back with this animated delight, which follows a Bigfoot-type creature named Mr. Link (voiced by Zach Galifianakis) who recruits a fearless explorer (Hugh Jackman) to help him find his long-lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La. Along with adventurer Adelina Fortnight (Zoe Saldana), they encounter their fair share of peril as they travel to the far reaches of the world.

'Aziz Ansari: Right Now' (July 9)

Last week, the comedian announced the existence of this surprise stand-up special, which is his first since he was embroiled in allegations of sexual misconduct in January 2018. Directed by Spike Jonze, the special in New York City as part of Ansari's worldwide "Road to Nowhere" comedy tour, which extended to 75 cities in the U.S. and 12 countries.

'Point Blank' (July 12)

The action thriller movie stars Anthony Mackie as an ER nurse whose pregnant wife is kidnapped by dirty cops. In order to save her, he has to free a career criminal (Frank Grillo) from the hospital and team up with him to take down the bad guys.
