'Wonder Woman' Fan Fave Lucy Davis Joining 'Sabrina The Teenage Witch'
Lucy Davis, who played spunky Etta Candy in "Wonder Woman," is joining the upcoming Netflix reboot of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch." She'll be playing motherly Aunt Hilda to Kiernan Shipka's Sabrina, Deadline reports.
In the '90s series, which starred Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina, Hilda was played by Caroline Rhea.
British actress Davis has done much more than "Wonder Woman," of course. She played receptionist Dawn Tinsley on the British version of "The Office" and Dianne in zombie cult classic "Shaun of the Dead."
Also joining the cast, per Variety, are "Doctor Who" alum Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardell, Sabrina's favorite teacher and mentor who has a very dark side.
And newcomer Chance Perdomo will play Ambrose Spellman, Sabrina's warlock cousin from England. His character is described as "witty, puckish and pan-sexual."
Unlike the squeaky clean '90s version, this new version (which is a spinoff of "Riverdale") will be a dark coming-of-age story that's more like horror classics like "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Exorcist."
